My Pregnancy Journal: 29 Weeks

Poor Greyson. He’s already being dealt the “Second Child Syndrome” card. I have totally dropped the ball on keeping up with these pregnancy journals. Admittedly, it’s much harder for me to keep up with these things this time around because Kynlee is keeping me so busy. I am going non-stop from the time I get up to the time I go to bed. I’m going to try to get better about it, though, because I love having this weekly comparisons!

29 weeks pregnant

Gender: A sweet baby BOY! Greyson Brooks :)

Baby’s Size: Over 3 pounds now and growing!

Fun Facts: His brain is growing daily, which is actually starting to look like the real thing with those characteristic grooves and wrinkles. And now that he can regulate his own body temperature and turn up the heat, he’ll start shedding lanugo, the downy body hair that’s been keeping him warm up until now. (Info from whattoexpect.com).

Symptoms: Fatigue, nausea, headaches.

Weight Gain: Up 16 pounds total.

Maternity Clothes: I’m in them and loving them! They were especially handy over the holidays when I ate too much! My maternity clothing brand of choice so far is Old Navy.

Cravings: Chocolate! Sweets!

Food Aversions: Heavy foods (like all of the ones I ate around Thanksgiving and Christmas). I just need a break from those for a bit!

Medical Happenings: I was treated for a UTI a couple of weeks ago and I was put on an antibiotic. As I expected, the antibiotic caused a yeast infection so I’m just now getting rid of that – thank goodness!

Emotional Stuff: Just the realization that in 10 weeks or less we’ll be holding our son in our arms! It’s coming up so fast!

Belly Button – In or Out?: In. I’ll be surprised if it pops out. It never did with Kynlee, and it still seems really deep this time, too.

Movement: Strong, hard kicks and just moving around in general. Sometimes it makes my stomach drop when he gets to moving a lot! He does a lot of “tap dancing” whenever Luke puts his hand on my belly :) .

Sleep: Luke’s back on day shift and while I am extremely happy about this, I’m also aggravated. Whenever his alarm goes off at 4am, I wake up and have to pee. And then? Then I lay there and cannot go back to sleep. It is so ridiculous because I will still be extremely tired but just can’t sleep!

Looking forward to: My 3D/4D ultrasound!
