Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler–Review + Giveaway

Rubbermaid is a brand that you will find in our home now and it was also a brand of products that we used growing up. From food storage to clothing storage in their large containers, Rubbermaid has not let us down yet! Rubbermaid has been around for 70+ years so they definitely know what they are doing when they design these products made to simplify our lives! A few weeks ago we were sent a Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler to test out. I was especially stoked for this product because I have been wanting to recycle more, but didn’t have a place to put the recyclables. I was certain that the Hidden Recycler would solve that problem and it would also be hidden in the cabinet where Kynlee couldn’t access it and pull everything out!

Some great features of the Hidden Recycler:

Easy attachment to a cabinet door with hooks included with the product or screws
A convenient handle allows the bag to easily be transported to wherever your recycling is stored for pickup or transport
A 5 gallon bag that holds up to 36 12-ounce cans and can fit a milk jug

My thoughts: The concept of the Hidden Recycler is spot-on. As you can see from the picture to the left, it fits on the inside of your cabinets so that it is truly hidden. It’s important to note that some modifications may need to be made in order for it to fit properly. For us, we had trouble getting the cabinet door to close because the lid on the recycler kept getting in the way. Switching to the screws instead of the hooks took care of the problem for us. I love that it has the handle on it as well because it makes it easier to transfer the recyclables to a larger bin. Convenience is key for us and Rubbermaid definitely knows how to make things convenient! So far we have been able to recycle several things that we had just been throwing away previously!
